When we spotted this at the Brussels Motor Show last week it reminded us of our First Car , a “Little Tyke” so maybe thats why it made us smile so much. Agree?
The Zero is powered by lithium-ion batteries that boast a range between charges of around 140km or about 87 miles. The car is also expected to reach an electronically capped top speed of 100 km/h (62mph) and will deliver 0-50km in less than five seconds.
The car is built by Tazzari, an Italian firm with a background in aluminium casting and other engineering services. Zero makes substantial use of aluminium in its construction to provide a light and strong frame. The Zero weighs under 550kg, or about 200kg less than a petrol-powered Smart ForTwo city car.
