What Is Motor Insurance?

Admin October 27, 2011 0

It is a legal requirement in Ireland to either hold a motor insurance policy or be a named driver on one, if you plan on driving your vehicle on public roads. In order to pay the Motor Tax due on your wheels you must produce your motor insurance policy upon payment.

Unlike other forms of insurance, the duty of motor insurance is to protect other road users as opposed to simply just protecting you – the driver. Motor insurance is supplied by most standard insurance firms, and the costs of your policy will generally vary from one insurer to the next.

There are three different types of Motor Insurance cover; Fully Comprehensive, Third Party Fire & Theft, and Third Party
